RGJ Media holds its 30th annual Fantasies in Chocolate, wine tasting and chocolate sampling fundraiser, benefiting the RGJ Foundation Saturday, Oct. 25. This year’s black-tie, villain-themed costume party is at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in the Summit Pavilion. Saturday night includes chocolate treats and savory dishes presented by some of the region’s top chefs paired with champagne, wine beer and spirits. Entertainment includes a live DJ, dance floor, silent auction and you, dressed as your favorite villains.

“Since 2001, the RGJ Foundation has distributed close to $1 million to local non-profit organizations, schools and individuals in the form of scholarships and grants,” said John Maher, president and publisher of Reno Gazette-Journal. “Revenue generated from the event is what allows us to give back to so many deserving causes, including High Sierra Industries, Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum, Reno Philharmonic and the American Heart Association to name a few.”

Vendors to look for this year event include:

“Fantasies is backed by the support of our sponsors, the local food and beverage community and volunteers,” said Maher. “Without their support, we couldn’t put on such a special event that raises money for the community.”
